ADOPTION APPLICATION

LSLRR will not place dogs in homes where unaltered (neither spayed or neutered) pets reside.Applications are accepted only for Labs who will be kept as canine companions and housed within the home.
Labs placed into the LSLRR program for adoption are current on all shots, have been given fecal exams for parasites and tested for heartworms. Labs testing positive are fully treated prior to release for adoption. All LSLRR Labs are maintained on preventative medication.
All LSLRR Labs are spayed or neutered. If, due to age or health reasons, this procedure has not been performed,it will be scheduled as soon as possible. Anyone adopting a Lab that has not been spayed or neutered for one ofthese reasons, will be required to sign a contract stating that such procedure will be performed within a specific time frame. A fifty dollar refundable spay or neuter deposit will be required for all such adoptions.

Do you have a swimming pool?:

Willing to take the dog to obedience class if needed?:
Willing to crate the adopted dog when you leave the house for the first month?:
We believe it is safer to crate a dog in the house than to leave the dog alone in the backyard where it can dig out and escape, or in the house where is can be destructive
LSLRR believes that the safest place for a Lab which must be left alone is inside a crate, inside the home. A crate is a safe haven for a dog, and prevents potential problems either inside or outside the home
