Labrador Retrievers

Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue (Lone Star Lab Rescue) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to preventing the needless destruction of Labrador Retrievers in the DFW/Dallas/Fort Worth/North Texas area.

Adoption Application

LSLRR will not place dogs in homes where unaltered (neither spayed nor neutered) pets reside. Applications are accepted only for Labs who will be kept as canine companions and housed within the home and the adopter lives in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

Labs placed into the LSLRR program for adoption are current on all shots, have been given fecal exams for parasites and tested for heartworms. Labs testing positive are fully treated prior to release for adoption.

All LSLRR Labs are maintained on preventative medication and are micro-chipped. All LSLRR Labs are spayed or neutered. If, due to age or health reasons, this procedure has not been performed, it will be scheduled as soon as possible. Anyone adopting a Lab that has not been spayed or neutered for one of these reasons, will be required to sign a contract stating that such procedure will be performed within a specific time frame. A fifty dollar refundable spay or neuter deposit will be required for all such adoptions.

To help cover these medical costs, our adoption fee is $275.00 for all labs except puppies under 6 months, which is $375.

If you are interested in adopting, please read carefully our How to Adopt page and then complete the adoption application below and our adoption director will contact you as soon as possible.
